Job Description

<strong><u>Job Purpose:</u></strong><p><br></p>To be able to read engineering drawings and carry out the fabrication of various types/materials and modules, as well as structures to pipe work. A good understanding of welding procedures and the ability to use flame cutting equipment is essential.<p><br></p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Duties:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Liaise with the Works Engineer </li><li>Ensure company equipment is Maintained in line with procedures. </li><li>Fabrication and assembly to be completed in line with issued drawings </li><li>Repairs to be completed in line with equipment being maintained </li><li>Ensure welding is undertaken in line with recognized standards. </li><li>Mark up drawings as required where changes are identified </li><li>Log information on job Cards in line with Job card Procedure </li><li>Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>HSEQ – ensure maintenance requirements are fully understood by:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Following all company’s and HSE procedures </li><li>Addressing any concerns and taking appropriate actions in conjunction with company procedures </li><li>Attending monthly safety meetings with HSEQ personnel </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Requirements</u></strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Qualification &amp; Training:</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>National Vocational Qualification Level 3-4, City &amp; Guilds or equivalent technical qualification in a welding discipline, or secondary qualification with equivalent technical experience of overall 5 years in related field is essential </li><li>6G Welding Coding or Certificate is essential </li><li>SMAW Welding experience is essential </li><li>GTAW Welding is preferred </li><li>MIG Welding is preferred </li><li>3G Coding is preferred </li><li>Basic Offshore Survival Induction &amp; Emergency Training (BOSIET) </li><li>Minimum Industry Safety Trainings MIST </li></ul> <strong><u>Experience:</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 or more years of work experience in relevant field. </li><li>Working within the oil &amp; gas or energy industries </li><li>Fabricating various types of materials </li><li>Welding to known pre-determined standards </li><li>Working with Plasma, Oxy-Acetylene, Bandsaws and Grinders </li><li>Ability to work well with staff at all Nationalities and levels </li><li>Good communication and interpretation skills in English (verbal and written)</li></ul>
