Are you a web developer that has a solid knowledge of PHP, WordPress, CMSs, Modern JS, structured HTML, CSS (and its best practices), SEO, SASS, and server configuration (Nginx, apache…)?

As a web developer, you will build websites, and front-facing web pages and create demos for clients, research, and internal usage.

In this role, at InstaDeep you will report to the Team Lead of Web & Mobile Dev and PM. This role may require overseas travel.

The Web Developer must accomplish the following:

  • Build websites, and front-facing web pages and create demos for clients, research, and other internal usages.
  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Ensure the application of best practices in the code (optimized HTML/CSS/JS, shorthand, optimizing images, etc).
  • Web server configuration (configure PHP, databases, redirections, set up SSL certificates, make sure that website is reachable, minimize loading time, server configuration best practices for performance, etc…).
  • Ensure the best usage of SEO to get the best result and ranking (internal SEO etc).
  • Develop Mobile friendly websites.
  • Maintain existing and future websites.
  • Work and collaborate with the rest of the engineering/design team.

Who you are:

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience as a PHP web developer (WordPress, CMSs, Native PHP).
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, DOM manipulation, and the JavaScript object model.
  • Deep understanding of CSS and styling fundamentals (vanilla CSS preferred).
  • Experience with widely used SEO and search engine optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of Web servers configuration.
  • Experience with responsive design.
  • Experience with website maintenance.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to large and small audiences.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Ability to interact with peers and stakeholders to define and drive product and business impact.
  • A degree in IT/Computer Science is a plus, but not required.
