Greetings from Sundus Recruitment !!!<br><br><strong>Job Title: Design Engineer-Protection<br><br></strong><strong>Job Location: Abu Dhabi<br><br></strong><strong><u>Job Objective<br><br></u></strong>The objective of this position to ensure the survivability aspects of the vehicles and passes all the required norms as specified in the customer requirements.<br><br><strong><u>Responsible For<br><br></u></strong>Must form an integral part of the designated project team with regards to all technical protection matters through the life cycle of the product family to ensure the vehicle baselines supports the delivered products.<br><br><strong><u>Functional Role<br><br></u></strong>Design of protection (ballistic and blast) solutions for new vehicles and for upgrading existing vehicles<br><br>Compile the protection side of tender documentation for suppliers<br><br>Design test panels and vehicles against specifications (STANAG, NIJ and CEN 1052, etc)<br><br>Manage the design, release, procurement and build of ballistic and blast test pieces.<br><br>Manage the numerical simulation of blast and ballistic loadings by 3rd party or internal simulation department.<br><br>Manage the execution of the ballistic and blast tests with the compilation of test matrixes.<br><br>Managing of drop test rig testing plans for the evaluation of brackets and seats.<br><br>Schedule protection development projects and baseline release milestones.<br><br>Vehicle protection performance calculations including mass, vulnerability and cost.<br><br>Structural analysis for protection and vehicle operation pertaining to protection attachments<br><br>Design (in conjunction with the vehicle design engineer) of the welded joints that has protection function<br><br>Creating and maintaining a database of supplier data, test data and vehicle solutions.<br><br><strong><u>Preferred Minimum Qualifications<br><br></u></strong>Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
