Job Description

Duties

·        Coordinate with Runners

·        Comply with restaurant Standard Operating Procedures and employee handbook.

·        Attend and participate in daily and weekly briefings and other meetings as scheduled.

·        Report to the Floor Manager any required FOH maintenance issues

·        Respect the safety and hygiene standards of restaurant premises.

·        Maintain a favorable relationship with all restaurant employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing morale, productivity, and efficiency.

 

Tasks

·        Carry out all duties as directed by the Floor Manager 

·        Apply restaurant’s opening and closing procedures as per checklists.

·        Set up all service stations, tabletops, and dining areas at opening and prior to welcoming guests.

·        Perform all duties expected: explain the concept to guests, mention serving dishes and beverages offered while highlighting restaurant signature items, etc.

·        Assist as situations dictate (telephone answering, reservations handling, welcoming guests, recommending menu items and specials, taking orders, billing, VIP management)

·        Assist Runners in cleaning and resetting tables, polishing glass and chinaware.

·        Stay updated on menu ingredients, food preparations and special diet requirements.

·        Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests as per the set sequence of service.

·        Respect and follow the sequence of service set by the restaurant’s management.

·        Ensure that established FOH controls and procedures are being always complied with.

·        Monitor the cleanliness and set up of the dining area and make sure the orderly appearance of side stations is maintained throughout the service period.

·        Inspect tables for proper set up and cleanliness.

·        Stay updated on daily reservations.

·        Keep management promptly and fully informed of any operational issues.

 

Guest service

·        Deliver a personalized service to all guests.

·        Be fully aware, make recommendations and answer guest/colleague questions regarding the menu and other related functions and services.

·        Follow up with guests throughout their meal, monitor their experience and obtain feedback to ensure satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to any special requests and redirecting guest complaints when necessary

·        Present the check to the guest who ordered it and collect payment.

·        Be knowledgeable in restaurant services, events, entertainment, daily formulas, menu, and concept
