We have built, from scratch, a world-first immersive learning platform that houses, deploys and tracks our own, and third-party VR learning solutions. Next World is a rapid scale-up, fast-growing, with international customers and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people. </p><p><br></p><p>This role requires a collaborative approach, working with the business development team, customers, and our third-party development companies which are international. </p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a highly-talented Lead to work with us in crafting VR learning experiences. Your responsibilities include conducting research on assigned content areas, collaborating with subject matter experts, developing high-level designs, and creating design proposals for new learning experiences. Prior experience working in Unity is a must, as you will be responsible for implementing, iterating, and enhancing designs throughout the course of the project.</p><p><br></p><p>Whether you’re a game designer with some programming skills up your sleeve or a programmer whose design ambitions cannot be contained any longer, this role is a great opportunity to branch out into an emerging field.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Your responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Take training resources and find the most relevant information to design experiences that have a lasting effect on the user.</li><li>Produce high-quality design work, either based on templates or entirely new, customizing for varying requirements from project to project.</li><li>Liaise with subject matter experts to align your design with the mandatory learning outcomes. </li><li>Work within a cross-disciplinary team to design and implement experiences from concept to delivery.</li><li>Lead our partner teams around the world to help them build experiences to our standards, quality levels and processes. </li><li>Communicate clearly with the team and stakeholders to ensure product alignment with business needs and outcomes, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to efficiently juggle multiple projects at once.</li><li>Use Unity to implement your designs with the team, diving into the code as required to get the job done.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Required experience: </p><ul><li>At least three years of game or game-adjacent design experience.</li><li>Experience working within Unity3D with some programming knowledge.</li><li>Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail.</li><li>Experience communicating design concepts to programmers, artists, stakeholders and clients.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Bonus Points: </p><ul><li>Experience designing VR experiences.</li><li>Experience designing educational content.</li><li>Experience with git source control.</li><li>Experience leading projects.</li><li>Experience as a Product Owner.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Our environment:</p><p>Next World is based in Morningside, Brisbane.
