We’re a team of dedicated people driving this mission by providing better, faster, and cheaper ways to access food through technology.<p><br></p>Where this role fits in our mission<p><br></p>To lead financial planning & accounts function and to oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.<p><br></p>The role in one line<p><br></p>Control the spend on the P&L, and raise funding to allow for Calo’s international expansion.<p><br></p>What problems is this role meant to solve?<p><br></p><ul><li>Develop a fundraising strategy with the CEO </li><li>Revise and lead in setting up controls </li><li>Oversee financial reporting </li><li>Approves pricing changes and promotions</li><li>Approves overspends when needed </li><li>Reviews and approves manpower plans with the CPO </li><li>Prepares investments allocations</li></ul><p><br></p>How will you return RoI to the business?<p><br></p><ul><li>Set the control and approval systems to allow Calo to manage business units in 4-9 countries</li><li>Develop visibility dashboards & controls metrics </li><li>Integrate and onboard acquired businesses into the systems used by Calo for reporting</li><li>Lead raising debt within 6 months </li><li>Raise a large equity round for international expansion and projects within 12 months </li></ul><p><br></p>What you’ll be working on<p><br></p><ul><li>Lead financial planning & accounts function which consists of 3 sub-functions: accounts and reporting, financial analysis and business analysis. </li><li>Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.</li><li>Oversee all acquisition due diligence activities within the company expansion plans. </li><li>Supervise all audit and internal control processes. </li><li>Guarantee compliance with financial laws, GCC VAT and ZATCA guidelines. </li><li>Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas. </li><li>Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.</li><li>Lead financial planning & accounts function which consists of 3 sub-functions: accounts and reporting, financial analysis and business analysis. </li><li>Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks. </li><li>Oversee all acquisition due diligence activities within the company expansion plans. </li><li>Supervise all audit and internal control processes. </li><li>Guarantee compliance with financial laws, GCC VAT, and ZATCA guidelines. </li><li>Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas. </li><li>Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting </li><li>Experience working within a multi-geography fast-paced work environment </li><li>2-8 years of proven experience as a Director or similar role </li><li>Understanding of GCC VAT laws </li></ul><p><br></p>Skill Set Required<p><br></p><ul><li>An analytical mind with a strategic ability </li><li>Excellent organizational and leadership skills </li><li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities </li><li>In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices </li><li>Debt management experience </li></ul><p><br></p>Ideal candidate<p><br></p><ul><li>CPA or other relevant qualifications </li><li>Pre-IPO exposure </li><li>Fundraising at Series B and beyond</li><li>Led a finance and accounts organization of 15+ team members Experience using different ERP softwares (e.g. Microsoft Navision or SAP) </li></ul><p><br></p>Powered by JazzHR<p><br></p>vbEZCbAIuP
