Job Description

At the NCA we prepare trainees in the field of Civil Engineering, with a specific focus on the Construction sector.

Our vocational instructors teach trainees and help them gain skills so that they can build successful careers.

Responsibilities

•  Teaching non-native English speaking learners of various abilities and levels in a vocational context

• Enforce all administration policies and rules governing trainees.

• Participating in the development of the course curriculum and the production of high-quality teaching and learning resources, including resources in electronic formats

• Integrating and using technology to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom

• Developing lesson plans, course outlines and teaching and learning plans in accordance with NCA practices

• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet trainees’ varying needs and interests.

• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides trainees with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.

• Developing a variety of assessment tools and assessing trainee work in compliance with NCA practices and other relevant quality standards bodies

• Maintaining records of trainee achievements and reporting results of student assessments in accordance with NCA practices and in compliance with record management system requirements

• Overseeing and ensuring compliance with the relevant internal verification process and assuming the role of an internal verifier for the applicable courses

• Interacting in a professional and collegial way with people at all levels of the organization

Qualifications

– A Bachelor’s Degree in the specific or a closely-related discipline; Master’s Degree is preferred.

– Currently resident in Saudi Arabia with a transferable iqama for South African, Canadian, UK, USA passport holders.

– Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in a vocational training institute in the Middle East

– CELTA/DELTA advantageous.
