<strong>Job Title</strong> Video Teleconference (VTC) Engineer<p><br></p><strong>Location</strong> NSA, Manama, Bahrain<p><br></p><strong>Security Clearance </strong>Secret<p><br></p><strong>Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.</strong><p><br></p>The Video Teleconference (VTC) Engineer shall be responsible for supporting a set of telecommunication technologies which allow two or more locations to communicate by simultaneous two-way video and audio transmissions.<p><br></p><ul><li>Shall have detailed knowledge of H.323, H.320, H.264, G.711, G.722, G.728, H.261, H.263, and H.264, including how to change/enable these protocols to make sure a call bonds properly and optimize the VTC systems.</li><li>Shall have detailed knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom VTC coder-decoder (CODEC) and equipment, including fluency in the functionality, capabilities, and operation of these devices.</li><li>Shall have detailed knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom Multi-point capabilities including fluency in the functionality, capabilities, and operation of these devices.</li><li>Shall have detailed knowledge of audio and video (A/V) concepts (i.e. how to set up and cable a room for VTC, where to put microphones to prevent feedback or audio issues, lighting, video, etc.).</li><li>Shall have knowledge and familiarity of DISA/DVSG and site licensing, including fluency in the functionality, capabilities, and operation.</li><li>Shall have knowledge and familiarity of encryption devices (KIV-7, KG devices, TACLANE devices, etc.) must know how to configure cryptographic devices to communicate with DISA/DVSG and other units. Must have knowledge of cryptographic fills, how to load an encryption device, how to verify the fill segments, and how to operate a Simple Key Loader (SKL).</li><li>Shall have knowledge and familiarity with the different networks in use within United States Forces β Afghanistan (USFOR-A), and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Joint Coalition (IJC).</li><li>Shall have network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks.</li><li>Shall have technical documentation skills.</li><li>Shall have communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Shall communicate complex situations to w/Staff Officers, General Officers, and those unfamiliar with technical concepts or language.</li><li>Shall have seven (7) years of VTC teleconference system experience.</li><li> Shall have two (2) years experience in a military environment. </li><li>Required certifications Network+ and Security+.</li><li>Associates degree in Internet Technology preferred, OR 11 total years of recent specialized experience.</li></ul><p><br></p>Trace Systems, headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, was founded to support and defend our nation’s security interests at home and abroadββ whenever and wherever.
