Advanced seeds<p><br></p>help mitigate risks such as disease and drought and allow farmers to grow food<p><br></p>using less land, less water and fewer inputs.<p><br></p>Syngenta Seeds brings farmers more vigorous, stronger, resistant plants,<p><br></p>including innovative hybrid varieties and biotech crops that can thrive even in<p><br></p>challenging growing conditions.<p><br></p>Syngenta Seeds is headquartered in the United States.<p><br></p><strong><u>Accountabilities</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Job Description</strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Strategy and development</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Own the NEA strategy to achieve sales, profitability, and overall business contribution targets</li><li>Together with Portfolio Team ensure the development of the right products and their launch</li><li>Drive constant review of the go-to-market strategies in the countries to deliver business efficiently</li><li>Actively manage, motivate and develop the commercial team of Sales area managers, Marketing operations and customer service to develop a high performing team</li><li>Represent the company and build relations with key customers, industry associations, national authorities that have major influence on Syngenta business and our license to operate</li><li>Be an active member of the Territory Leadership Team</li><li>Ensure Syngenta’s full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework as well as Syngenta’s own legal and ethical, HSE, Corporate Security, Risk Management and Corporate Governance standards</li><li>Engage with other Syngenta businesses in the countries to ensure effective collaboration with a focus on overlapping strategies and managing shared resources</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Operations</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Review and sign off the monthly sales forecast for NEA.</li><li>Monitors business performance and take corrective actions</li><li>Propose the NEA budget based on crop and product priorities with the objective to maximize return on investment. Once approved, ensure its focused and impactful deployment.</li><li>Settle quality and complaints.</li><li>Customer satisfaction accountability: sign-off quality derogations, approve customer compensations.</li><li>Set target pricing and oversee the commercial terms and policies</li><li>Manage customers payments</li><li>Interact pro-actively and align with broader, cross-functional organization (R&amp;D, P&amp;S and CP&amp;FC)</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Critical experience and knowledge</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Agricultural and/or business university degree</li><li>5+ years in marketing /sales and business management with direct people management</li><li>5+ years of Vegetables Seeds or other seeds business experience</li><li>Solid knowledge of the Vegetables Seeds market and customer needs particularly in Egypt, Iran, and Saudi.</li><li>Track record of successful team &amp; processes and customer management</li><li>Excellent Arabic and good English language proficiency</li><li>Strong business accumen</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Critical Leadership Capabilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong leadership capabilities: ability to manage the diverse team</li><li>Focus on customers</li><li>Develop and motivate people, organization and self</li><li>Collaborate across boundaries: build respect and consensus at all levels</li><li>Clear and effective decision-making, with an emphasis on a data-driven approach</li><li>Communicate with impact and especially ability to interface with senior leadership</li><li>Lead change and hold ambiguity</li><li>Build a culture of innovation</li><li>Set ambitious strategic goals</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Critical Technical And Professional Capabilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Deep and broad crop and product knowledge</li><li>Understand customer needs, market dynamics and competitive environment</li><li>Communication and presentation skills</li><li>Analytical and strategic thinking</li><li>Develop/deliver innovative, customer-driven offers</li><li>Knowledge of Government regulations and Industry codes to ensure compliance, training needs and that appropriate processes and standards are in place in alignment to the broader business.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Additional Information</u></strong><p><br></p>Travelling 40-50% (countries in NEA for customers visit and Europe for company regional meetings and fair/exhibitions events)
