<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>This role will require interaction with internal stakeholders to deliver cross-vertical solutions, as well as working with our internal experimentation tool and validating your solutions with user researchers. Analytical thinking will frequently be required to verify both problems and their solutions.<br><br><strong>B.Responsible<br><br></strong><strong>As a UX Designer, you’ll be a key part of the idea generation process, working in a small startup-like group which takes full ownership of their part of our platform. ‘Designer’ is just what it says on your CV – you’d be just as happy to be labelled an Engineer, or Analyst; a Builder, Maker or Problem Solver. You’re excited about the endless potential of the web and being able to build things that millions of people can use every day.<br><br></strong>The successful candidate for the UX Designer position in this area will be responsible for:<br><ul><li>Own cross-vertical flows and design documentation</li><li>Collaborate closely with our design system’s team</li><li>Work closely with internal stakeholders across the company to implement earning and redemption flows</li><li>Use our internal tools to experiment and validate your proposed solution</li><li>Coordinate with researchers and data analysts to fully understand user requirements</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends related to rewards, wallet and payment <br><br></li></ul><strong>B.Skilled<br><br></strong>As a candidate for the UX Designer position, you possess a broad range of abilities:<br><ul><li>You are comfortable with each part of the design process, from research to exceptional UI design</li><li>Fluent in design thinking processes and able to independently identify the problems to come up with and validate solutions, and iterate based on feedback, all ready to handover for implementation</li><li>You are comfortable creating wireframes, polished mockups, and prototypes needed to communicate your ideas</li><li>Your strengths include being self-driven and taking full ownership of your ideas to solve challenging problems</li><li>You are comfortable working collaboratively with developers, product owners, and copywriters</li><li>You thrive on feedback and critique, responding with creative thinking and iterative design</li><li>You are a passionate advocate for the user, dedicated to the craft of design and creating elegant user experience</li><li>You have an eye for identifying commonalities across a broad range of user contexts, and using this to refine and evolve our library of product patterns with a focus on being smart, scalable, and pragmatic when needed</li><li>You understand and thrive in an environment which employs extensive A/B testing – Booking.com is a data-informed company and testing is an important part of learning and decision making</li><li>You know the importance of accessibility and can design with these user needs in mind</li><li>You can confidently manage multiple stakeholders across the track and business and can discuss your ideas with everybody from directors to your junior peers.</li><li>You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in an environment that changes to meet business and customer needs<br><br></li></ul><strong>B.Experienced<br></strong><ul><li>+ years’ experience delivering global products in a similar large scale product-led environment.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of desktop and mobile web user interface design, and creates a variety of artifacts with core design tools, such as Figma, Sketch. </li><li>Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of product design and related areas including copywriting and research.</li><li>Has basic knowledge of prototyping tools or prototyping environments and web coding languages such as HTML, CSS, etc.</li><li>Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage and prioritize work.</li><li>Demonstrates understanding and application of user-centered design concepts, methods, and techniques to enable and advance quality design and outcomes.</li><li>Experience supporting designs by a broad mix of qualitative and quantitative insights.</li><li>Experience or work samples demonstrating system thinking, data visualizations, or information architecture are a plus.</li><li>Experience working with datasets and organizing information architecture in typical office productivity tools (Sheets, MS Excel, SQL, etc) are desirable.</li><li>Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering counterparts </li><li>Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment is a plus.</li><li>Experience leading and communicating large scale projects across an organization is desirable.<br><br></li></ul><em>Booking.com is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
