Job Description

It is the primary responsibility of the Utility Porter to maintain the overall appearance of the property, services assigned areas including pan and brooming, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, stripping and waxing floors, emptying and cleaning ash/trash urns, dusting, polishing, picking up trash and debris. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Maintains the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the casino, public areas, offices and other required areas.

Keeps the assigned areas maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Keeps all equipment properly maintained, clean and free of marks

Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to the supervisor

Cleans all bathrooms in assigned areas outlined in job procedures and as trained.

Shampoo carpet, scrub, and strip and wax VCT, clean and maintain stone floors as assigned.

Properly clean upholstered fabrics.

Assists other areas as needed.

Clean-ups biohazards according to proper procedures.

Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

At least 6 months of experience in environmental services, public area or comparable positions from the Culinary Training Center.

Excellent customer service skills.

Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Must be 21 years or older

Preferred:

* Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
