Urban Planner and public policy specialist

<p>We have an urgent opening at one of our project sites, in Riyadh, KSA, for a duration of 6 months.</p><p><br></p><p>Professional experience:</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Min. professional experience of 2-8 years of work experience.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Worked on multiple urban and regional level development plans and projects, city strategies, master plans, sustainability assessments and environmental studies (preferred)</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must have experience in organizational/ sectoral/ national policy analysis, research, design, development, and evaluation process.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must have experience in elaborating policies into guidelines, procedures, and interim documents. -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Municipality sector/ local government organizations experience in Middle East region, preferred.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Awareness of local laws and policies impacting economic zones, SEZs etc., is preferred.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience of working with urban local bodies internationally (preferred)</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with municipalities includes preparation of city development and management plans/ strategies, master plans, and support implementation of policies at City level including administrative, structural, revenue improvement and service level improvements etc.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience in development of tool kits and document (covering all services, from utilities, waste management, transportation, environmental impact, entertainment, housing, retail, healthcare etc.)</p><p><br></p><p>Key accountabilities:</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Conduct bench marking studies on policies and practices.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Draft policies, procedures and guidelines aligned with the local laws, policies, procedures within KSA.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support training and capacity building initiatives, workshops across the client sites for key business owners and for internal or external key stakeholders and partner organizations (as required)</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Engage in effective stakeholder management to obtain buy-in for improvement and change initiatives (as necessary)</p><p><br></p><p>Education qualifications:</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Masters in urban planning (preferred)</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Certificate in Public Policy from local or International Universities (preferred)</p><p><br></p><p>Certifications or accreditation’s:</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Trained or certified in Policy Design and Delivery, Public Policy analysis, Public Sector Strategy from leading universities (NUS, Singapore, Harvard Kennedy School, US or London School of Economies (LSE) or any other) or International certification bodies (preferred)</p><p><br></p><p>Language known: Arabic Speaker preferred.</p><p>Location: Riyadh, KSA</p><p>Fixed Contract term: 6 months period</p><p>Role: Full time</p><p>Compensation and benefits: Salary as per industry standards.</p><p>Note: Upon selection, the candidate, will work with our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on the client site, based in Riyadh, KSA.</p><p><br></p><p>Send your detailed resume, to </p><p>Email: m.kapoor@paradigmxadvisors.com</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
