Job Description

Role Purpose:

Provide strong support in the TX access and BH area at all technical levels of operation
Ensure proper and timely handling of individual/global complaints related to Transmission area
Responsibility of Initiating actions to improve the quality, availability and measurement of the area.
Provide troubleshooting, analysis & problem solution for critical situations
24×7 2nd line support On Call for Transmission network emergencies reported by internal customers, to fix critical problems.
Fine tune the Transmission nodes to achieve smooth & high-quality performance.
Health check TX nodes To Ensure highest network quality, availability and resilience through development and implementation of enhancement projects and work streams
Secure the Transmission network elements.
Provide Transmission’s technical support to internal & external customers & ensure their satisfaction.

Follow-up & prepare the Transmission network planned activities to ensure fault free operation during different activity phases, coping with O&M quality standards & procedures
Implement preventive software correction packages on Transmission nodes to solve Transmission network problems.
Attending On site Events if needed
Report Transmission network activities to management for proper follow-up.
Participate in acceptance & testing of new Transmission nodes, systems, features & services.
Implement hardware system expansions.
Follow the Transmission, the Change Management teams and the Service Management processes/SLA.

Follow the escalation & reporting procedure in due time.
Responsible for reviewing the new technology /roadmaps /incident trends.
Report Transmission’s network problems in time with clear information to management for proper decision making
Assess the need for suppliers’ support intervention & follow-up with suppliers regarding any Transmission network issues.
Report performance against agreed plans & KPIs.
Attend all assigned Trainings, Sessions, or workshops.

Skills: –

BSc in Telecom engineering 
Strong IP knowledge, CCNP knowledge is a must (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS and L3VPN)
Good knowledge of MW nodes includes Ericsson, Huawei and SAIE or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field
Good knowledge of BH nodes/Routers: HU or equivalent
Good understanding of MW planning basics 
Good understanding for the GSM/3G/4G network.
Python Programming knowledge is a plus 
Automation & scripting Tools developing experience is a plus
Good Communication/Management Skills
