Further information about Lear is available at lear.com, or follow us on Twitter @LearCorporation<p><br></p>As a development engineer for Covers, you will be independently responsible for the development of seat covers from the quotation phase through to series production readiness and, if necessary, series production support in the trim and foam specialist group. You will act as an interface to the overall seat development<p><br></p>team as well as to our JIT and sewing plants.<p><br></p><strong><u>Main Missions</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Control and management of development and component suppliers in coordination with customers</li><li>Planning of the required development needs together with the departments trim shop, test, and prototyping</li><li>Review and evaluation of the customer’s specification requirements</li><li>Leading and coordinating the cutting investigations together with the trim developers</li><li>Creation and coordination of schedules/timings</li><li>Monitoring of the development with the design to cost principle</li><li>Supporting Sales and Program Management with change management and cost evaluation</li><li>Component release with the complete seating team and customer</li><li>Regular reviews of development progress</li><li>Evaluation, documentation, and implementation of change scopes</li><li>Product data management in the PLM (Product Life Cycle) system</li><li>Responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the part life cycle</li><li>Review and approval of 2D drawings in coordination with the customer</li><li>Route cause and quality analyses in the project team (8D report)</li><li>Material definition of the product and corresponding release processes OEM and automotive specific</li><li>Monitoring of the industrialization process at the sewing suppliers</li><li>Definition of materials, review, and development of materials together with supplier and customer</li><li>Review of 3D Models, support of the digital development within the early development phase</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Qualification</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Completed technical studies preferably in the field of textile technology or many years of professional experience</li><li>First work experience in the automotive industry is an advantage</li><li>Good material knowledge of cover materials as well as knowledge of the production process</li><li>Experience in quality processes is desirable</li><li>Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken</li><li>Proactivity and innovative thinking</li><li>A high degree of self-organization and willingness to make decisions independently</li></ul><p><br></p><u><strong>Work location :</strong></u><p><br></p><ul><li>Rabat technopolis Tech center</li></ul><p><br></p>Lear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.<p><br></p>Applicants must submit their resumes for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
