Transport Supervisor

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet of vehicles.
• Ensure that all drivers are following proper safety procedures.
• Adhere to schedules and deliver goods or passengers in a timely fashion.
• Hire new employees and train current staff on best practices.
• Ensure that everyone is working together as a cohesive team.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Review invoices and claims for accuracy and submit for payment in a timely manner.
• Prepare reports on transportation activity, costs, performance, and compliance with regulations.

Skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
