Job Summary:

The Translator with a high level of accuracy, translates written materials, including contracts and technical documents, from Arabic into English and from English into Arabic in support of Raytheon business interests in the Kingdom. 

This position is in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Translates text by understanding the thoughts expressed; incorporating cultural influences; consulting dictionaries, thesauri, and references; conferring with colleagues; explaining the thought in target language.
• Prepares for translation by studying text to be translated, researching subject matter.
• Evaluates interpretation/translation by reviewing clarity and grammar, making adjustments in meaning as necessary.
• Prepares translation by dictating or keying translated text.
• Verifies translation by proofreading translated text.
• Updates job knowledge by reading publications in the source language; participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, English, or equivalent or degree from business related field.   
• Proficient in reading, writing, and typing both Arabic and English languages.
• Familiarity with business, financial, technical, legal, scientific, educational terminology etc.

• Skilled in the use of MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business software application products.

Qualifications We Value:

• Knowledge or experience in commercial business practices.
