<br><p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong></p><p> </p><p>The QC lead is mainly responsible for the linguists’ team; therefore, the QC lead will continually work on improving the linguistic skills of the team and their quality of work on a daily basis to meet quality expectations, reporting area of improvements needed to linguists and management at the earliest. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Advise Operations team on defining quality requirements of tasks (domain, level of service, language style, target audience, etc.); support Operations team with assigning the right resources based on initial analysis of tasks prerequisites. </li><li>Manage linguists’ queries in coordination with project owners (reviewers); ensure the translation team have acknowledged and implemented the necessary changes. </li><li>Constantly transfer knowledge to senior reviews and establish them as project owners of reviewed tasks; instill a mindset of personal accountability and ownership among all project owners. </li><li>Oversee tasks delegation to project owners (reviewers) working during night shift and weekends by outlining the level of authority with clear instructions and solid debriefing. </li><li>Assess inhouse linguists’ output on a daily basis, as in reviewing tasks up to 1000 words for each translator and reviewer across all Verticals, resulting to an average monthly rating score with a detailed report and feedback via CAT tools LQA feature. </li><li>Develop and updating glossaries and guidelines in a form that goes beyond being just a list of terms and definitions, but provide all the context needed to efficiently translate terms. </li><li>Advise Operations Team on enhancement measures needed to the work process for the linguists’ team, namely by improving communication and collaboration, boosting morale levels among linguists across all Verticals. </li><li>Ensure quality control standards are met while monitoring customer satisfaction levels via email and/or meetings, particularly by enhancing quality across all service layers (translation and reviewing). </li><li>Considering their background, develop and update a shared sheet with Operations, highlighting ideal resources to work on clients’ documents in terms of linguistic requirements, ensuring that the client and end-user will be satisfied with the output. </li><li>Investigate, assess and address client complaints regarding quality issues and develop a solution that either fix them or eliminate them, and implement the changes needed via an escalation report. </li><li>Coordinate with the Operations Team on maintaining a clean and dependable TM on CAT tools for the linguistic team to utilize in their daily work.
