<strong><u>About The Role<br><br></u></strong>Provides Safety and Technical Training to QAS Engineering staff along with on the job training (OJT) wherever necessary to carry out work related tasks confidently and effectively. Provides and/or arranges Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equipment training to help develop competencies and promote long term improvement of employees’ technical skills, thereby maximising their employment utility across the QAS equipment range. Further, develop and maintain strong working relationships with all sections of QAS Engineering and QAS Training.<br><br><strong><u>Operational<br></u></strong><ul><li>Identify training and development needs within QAS Engineering Services through training needs analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with Line Managers.</li><li>Design, develop and deliver training and development programmes based on both the department and individual needs and develop effective induction programme.</li><li>Ensure that the participants meet the prerequisites for the training including the provisions for attending courses.</li><li>Devising individual learning plans if necessary by implementing learning models and tools.</li><li>Produce training materials for in-house courses as and when required.</li><li>Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with Line Managers.</li><li>Amend, revise and update training document as necessary, in order to meet the current scenarios and maintain relevance.</li><li>Helping Line Managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.</li><li>Maintain training records, update the records and send weekly reports highlighting key issues (if any) with regard to training.</li><li>Responsible to be aware of up to date e-learning techniques and where required, getting involved in the creation and/ or delivery of e-learning packages.</li><li>Liaise with QAS Training and act as single point of contact on vehicle and equipment operating permit training for QAS Engineering staff.</li><li>Coordinate and liaise with other vendor/ supplier for specialised training on equipment for QAS Engineering staff and collaborate with the internal/ external agencies as may be necessary in matters related to training to foster development of the staff.</li><li>Maintain high standards of QAS Engineering training by creating an eco-system of continuous learning and development for the staff within the department.</li><li>Highlight training related issues and provide tangible solutions to QAS Engineering and meet the KPIs</li><li>Update the Line Manager on the day to day proceedings with regard to training. Attend in meetings as and when invited to discuss the milestones and results on QAS Engineering training.</li><li>Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.<br></li></ul><strong>Be part of an extraordinary story <br><br></strong>Your skills. Join us as we dare to achieve what’s never been done before.<br><br>Together, everything is possible<br><br><strong><u>Qualifications<br><br></u></strong><strong>About You<br></strong><ul><li>Essential: Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor’s level</li><li>Experience: Minimum 4 years of job-related experience</li><li>Ability to train and develop others’ technical skills.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Effective and motivational presentation skills.</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Sound knowledge of MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Publisher etc.)</li><li>Ability to foster teamwork among team members.</li><li>Design and Develop training to make the training material effective and presentable</li><li>Preferred: A tertiary accreditation in training equivalent to LEAP 2</li><li>Good Knowledge of GSE Maintenance and Workshop Operation along with Workshop Safety Practices</li><li>A certificate in Safety will be an added advantage</li><li>Experience in teaching and training in a multi-cultural environment.</li><li>Understanding of e-learning techniques<br></li></ul><strong><u>About Qatar Airways Group<br><br></u></strong>Our story started with four aircraft.
