Track Maintainer

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:
Perform all Track Maintenance tasks according to maintenance and Safety procedures in the normal and emergency cases on behalf the direction given by the technicians and supervisors
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
• Inspect the track (both visually and using measuring equipment) he has been trained and authorized for regarding signs of damage or deterioration.
• Prepare appropriate tools for the works scheduled and maintain it after the end of the works
• Attend the everyday briefing given by the superior when signing on.
• Escalate any discovered issues related to the track to the superiors.
• Ensure to report the superiors any safety nonconformity that may be considered as a risk to sustain the safety standards.
• Ensure alignment and assistance with site surveys.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Suitable vocational technical degree (Mechanical, or Civil)
KNOWLEDGE:
• Having knowledge of the role and the behaviour of all the Track and Turnout elements
• Aware of the different safety rules pertaining to the track works
EXPERIENCE:
• Having be part of a team working in the railway industry.
• Railway experience with Track maintenance is a MUST
