Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for TPE III / Structural Engineer t o work on the engineering and project management services in Al Khobar office

  • Have experience in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, infrastructure industries on large to mega projects
  • Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications
  • Must have working knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
  • Demonstrates ability to work with others
  • Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents
  • Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards
  • Aware of appropriate codes of practice and standards
  • Aware of and able to use design and assessment methods under supervision
  • Aware of analytical methods used within discipline and theoretical background for analysis programs
  • Able to identify personal training / education opportunities
  • Highly motivated with an innovative and analytical mind
  • Able to communicate ideas to both senior and junior personnel

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry working for an established contractor, operator, or consultancy
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore structural engineering and design
  • Previous experience in SACS and other offshore engineering applications
  • Previous experience in the execution of FEED and EPC Projects
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, STAAD and STADDpro)
  • Should also be familiar with editing, opening, and reading drawings in AutoCAD / Microstation
  • Professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes, and procedures and how they are used in work execution
  • Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standard
