<strong>Summary</strong><p><br></p>The Tool Room Attendant for the Kuwait KC-130J Program at Al Mubarak Airfield in Kuwait has the responsibility to perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties including typing, inventory, and filing. Must have a working knowledge of nomenclature concerning aircraft maintenance tools and support equipment. Must have working knowledge and hands-on experience with office equipment including PC, calculator, and other business machines necessary in the data collection, entry, and reporting processes. Organizes and sets priorities to coordinate work efficiently. Processes maintains and preserves maintenance data, forms, and records.<p><br></p><strong>Essential Functions</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Participates, as a member of the field team, in formulating and establishing organizational policies and operating procedures for the program.</li><li>Implements, coordinates, and manages all aspects of the tool and specific support equipment administrative support programs.</li><li>Provides status updates, reports, and timelines for full inventory as it pertains to the calibration of equipment to metrology standards.</li><li>Coordinates with Calibration Lab personnel to facilitate the calibration of all due items, including expedited services, drop off, and pick up of gear.</li><li>Evaluates and develop improved techniques for tracking and monitoring detailed inventory and inspection due dates for all tools utilized within the program.</li><li>Maintains spreadsheets and tracking logs of tools, specific support equipment, and materials as they are issued and follows up to ensure all items are accounted for and serviceable upon return.</li><li>Audits, identifies, discrepancies, and applies corrective actions to all aspects of the Tool Control Program, including aircraft toolboxes and toolboxes maintained by various supporting work centers.</li><li>Coordinates with supporting agencies to obtain required materials, tools, repairs, and services to ensure tool requirements are met.</li><li>Reviews all reporting requirements to ensure they are accurate, clear, concise, and comprehensive before release.</li><li>Requisitions, manage accountability and maintains a 10 percent surplus inventory to ensure replenishment items are available for issue when needed.</li><li>Use tool control manuals, tool catalogs, and parts breakdowns to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and order parts to meet new requirements or to replace worn/broken assets.</li><li>Maintains tools and equipment in a ready-for-issue condition by performing minor repairs, inspections, corrosion prevention, performing operational checks, and periodically checking and maintaining the power levels of battery-operated equipment.</li><li>Provides technical knowledge to comply with all aspects of the Tool Control, Calibration, and Support Equipment Planned Maintenance System Programs.</li><li>Performs tool inventories as prescribed by program policies and procedures, and maintains 100 percent accountability at all times.</li><li>Maintains and catalogs manufacturer records/documents associated with maintained items.</li><li>Monitor and track collected data in a manner to assist Maintenance Supervision and Program Management with report and chart preparation.</li><li>Support off-station maintenance when required.</li><li>When necessary, performs other duties and supervisory functions, critical to the function of the program and to assure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Minimum Requirements / Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Must be able to adhere to and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements.</li><li>Must be United States (U.S.) citizen, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to read, write, and understand the English language.</li><li>Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months remaining before expiration.</li><li>Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.</li><li>Minimum of four years experience in tool room inventory control.</li><li>Have a strong knowledge base of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series aviation maintenance program instruction, and understand how the outlined programs, policies, and procedures apply to the management and sustainment of the KC-130J / CSE Program’s Tool & Specific Support Equipment assets.</li><li>Have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency.</li><li>Have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (for example Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs & procedures).</li><li>Must be willing to administrate, maintain, and manage maintenance programs (ex. Tool Control, HAZMAT, MetCal, etc…) as required by local policies.</li><li>Must be willing and able to comply with all contractual Performance Work Statement (PWS) Requirements.</li><li>Must be willing and able to deploy off-site as required to support Kuwait Air Force operations.</li><li>Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required.</li><li>Must have the ability to communicate, and concisely, and follow instructions when directed on assigned tasks.</li><li>Must have skills and aptitude to cross-train and/or support the KC-130J supply technicians in the management of daily operations and execution of all tasks in support of the Supply Resource Centre.</li><li>Must be willing and able to cover for members of the supply team during periods of non-availability, large parts deliveries, or to increase surge capacity.</li><li>Must ensure required tools and related equipment are serviceable and available to the technicians to provide mission-capable aircraft to the customer to meet operational requirements.</li><li>Must be familiar with technical orders/job guides/publications—read, interpret, follow, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications.</li><li>Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create/modify briefs, spreadsheets, and formal requests/documentation.</li><li>Must be familiar with aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards associated with flight line operations.</li><li>Must have a working knowledge of and be proficient with (input and extract data) of computers and maintenance information systems.</li><li>Must be able to overcome cultural differences and think outside the box, innovate, and provide solutions to the many complex problems and obstacles associated with international contracting and desert climate operations.</li><li>Perform as a team member, contributing to the success of the C-130J maintenance department.</li><li>Dependable and timely in managing assigned tasks, and performing consistent quality maintenance.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong><p><br></p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
