At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.<p><br></p><strong><u>Job Overview</u></strong><p><br></p>TE Connectivity’s Machinist Team’s responsibilities include, assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. They work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions, communicating directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity’s EH&S policies and procedures.<p><br></p><strong><u>What Your Background Should Look Like</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Provides responsive support to the molding department production line to ensure the safe manufacture of quality products to meet on time delivery schedule</li><li>Identify root cause and implements corrective and preventive measures to improve or ensure product quality across product lines.</li><li>Stays current (updated) on core competencies and best practices in manufacturing to ensure incorporation into new designs/processes.</li><li>Ensures product documentation (Control parameter Sheet, 53P, SWI…) and manufacturing processes meet all TE Quality system requirements.</li><li>Provides mentoring support to all molding shop floor personnel.</li><li>Identifies and researches new processes and equipment to support cost reduction or quality improvement.</li><li>Lead and train Molding Set up men team and provides all necessary Support for their daily Job.</li><li>Works with Production to implement any necessary safety controls and safety actions.</li><li>Follow machines installation and propose any retrofits needed.</li><li>Perform mold Sampling According to TE Standard, (27P), (42P), (53P).</li><li>Create and Modify Robot Programs with different types of hand Robots.</li><li>Lead RUN@RATE (Trial Run) Implementation with Action Follow-up.</li><li>Travel, including to foreign manufacturing locations, occasionally required.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in plastic Materials or equivalent experience.</li><li>Three years or mores of experience in plastic injection, semiconductor molding and silicone molding or related field.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><strong>Competencies</strong></strong><p><br></p>Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation
