TECHNICIAN – FIRE ALARM
Job Description
• Carry out and ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed on all relevant equipment daily, weekly, monthly and as planned<br>• Respond to all reactive maintenance within the specified service level agreements<br>• Carry out civil, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, repairs and installation<br>• Display a sound knowledge of MEP and civil related works<br>• Assess required resources for maintenance, repair or installation works<br>• Flexibility to work to shift patterns as and when required. Flexible availability for 24/7 rostered standby duties and emergency call outs<br>• Report to manager on job progress and issues on a daily basis<br>• Installation, testing and maintenance of HV and LV distribution systems<br>• Carry out fault finding. Cable containment and calculations<br>• Experience of standby power systems including prime movers and UPS<br>• Provide progress reports on allocated work orders<br>• Administration and clerical duties as required by the job<br>• Immediately notify the manager of any safety issues or concerns. Maintain a safe place of work<br>• Assist in carrying out site surveys, inspections, estimations and quotations<br>• Carry out, to the best of your ability, all tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager<br>• Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance. Uniform must be worn and should be clean and in a good state of repair<br>• Comply with all processes and procedures (Human Resources, HSEQ, Finance, Information Technology, Procurement, Operations) which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labour law
