  • Influence data center policy by recommending standards, budget constraints, and long-range objectives.
  • Satisfy current and projected organization requirements by researching, evaluating and recommending software, hardware, wide/local area network, and communications solutions.
  • Maintain platform capacity by planning and monitoring computer resources.
  • Optimize performance and resource utilization by calibrating software controls/parameters.
  • Maintain computer operating systems, program products, wide/local area networks by planning, installing, and improving/enhancing hardware and software.
  • Maintain technical support staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintain technical support staff job results by coaching and counseling employees; taking corrective action; monitoring, and appraising job results as necessary.
  • Prepare users by conducting training programs; answering inquiries.
  • Meet financial objectives by controlling software related expenses, vendors, and contracts.
  • Submit reports by preparing plans; identifying activities, status, and performance.
  • Maintain platform security and disaster prevention/recovery by developing, implementing, enforcing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
