Technical Support Engineer | Al Futtaim Automotive | FAMCO

Overview of the role:

To manage application & technical in-field support to sales team for new unit sales. In addition, this role will be responsible for timely submission of necessary reports to FAMCO & CE management along with coordination responsibility for site simulation and project study 

 

What you will do:

  • Technical training for technicians about product technicalities and machines inspection.
  • Coordination with Product Manager for required support including but not limited to customer visits, technical submittals, competition offering summary, comparison studies, training arrangements
  • Supervising operation & maintenance trainings upon machine delivery at customer site.
  • Review & Implementation of MRS (specification) based on conducted competition studies. Communicate all necessary product developments with Sales Team & other stake holders (service, parts) including quotation specs update
  • Supporting sales team with customers visits and technical discussion
  • Machines configuration testing and competitor’s side by side testing 

Skills

Required Skills to be Successful:

  • Either a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Good technical knowledge of Construction Equipment
  • Hands-on experience in terms of machine operations & application.
  • Knowledge of electrical, control & instrumentation systems, diesel engines & electrical motors (variable and fixed speed)
  • Good diagnostic capability and PC skills
