Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Design Manager specializing in the Interior Fitout sector to join their team in Dubai. As the Technical Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects of the design process for interior fit-out projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards and meet the client’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

Technical Design Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of technical designers, providing guidance and expertise throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with the project management team to establish project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
• Oversee the development and implementation of design concepts, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes, and standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support to resolve any design challenges or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Design Coordination:

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the overall project plan.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to identify potential conflicts or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and select appropriate materials, finishes, and fittings for each project.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards in all design aspects.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of design deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and inconsistencies in design documentation.
• Monitor the progress of design activities and provide regular updates to the project management team.
• Identify areas for improvement in design processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Team Management and Development:

• Recruit, train, and mentor technical design staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Promote professional development by identifying training needs and organizing relevant workshops or seminars.
• Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the technical design team.
