<strong>Overview / Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><strong> Wood is currently looking for a Technical Assistant, to be based in Dubai </strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Typical Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Assist the Engineering Manager with Engineering Induction for new joiners and support refresher session with existing team members </li><li> Maintain competency of all team members and follow up for competency assessment for team members with expiring validity. In addition, maintain competency assessment tracker and send reminders before expiration of validity. </li><li> Arranging meetings and s cribe for technical meetings including engineering lessons learnt sessions </li><li> Maintain records for all trainings with attendance forms and on-the-job training forms </li><li> Maintain discipline folders in cloud drive, including maintain consistency </li><li> Maintain the team list and update joiners and leavers </li><li> Arrange engineering team celebrations </li><li> Create content for uploading into internal social media platform </li><li> Prepare new candidate CVs for client approval, liaise with project control for PAAF approval and liaise with recruitment for mobilization </li><li> Interface with coordinating with Lead/Discipline Engineers, Technical Specialists, Project Managers, and external parties as required. </li><li> Liaising with the project secretaries for onshore department travel related activities. </li><li> Assisting the Engineering Manager in all aspects of Engineering department administration <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Skills / Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong> Qualifications </strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree </li><li> Attention to details . </li><li> Proficiency in English and creative writing </li><li> Expertise in photoshop </li><li> Expertise in Autocad to support with minor drawing modifications . <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Expected </strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Excellent written English and good communication skills. Attention to detail is a must . </li><li> Confident, organised, motivated and proactive team player with a challenging approach and a “can do attitude” . </li><li> Clear, concise, and confident in spoken and written English. </li><li> Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with, coordinate activities and maintain relationships with colleagues, and clients effectively in a multi-cultural environment. <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Desirable </strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Previous experience as coordinator (minimum 1 year) </li><li> Handle scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting </li><li> Assist with publicity materials for Internal social media page <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Software Skills</u></strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Ms Office suite of programmes (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Company Overview</strong><p><br></p>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
