About the Role
We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Teacher of Science for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2023 start.

The Post: Teacher of Science – (Maternity Cover – One Year Contract)
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Science, must be able to teach A Level Biology or Chemistry to join the College. Science is the most popular subject at A Level in our College; with 18 groups across the entire A Level cohort, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach the Sciences to an advanced level. Behaviour in the College is ‘outstanding’ and the positive relationships between student and teacher, alongside the highly motivated students means that teachers can focus on teaching their subject.
The successful candidate will be leading an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful. Despite the non-selective nature of the school in 2022 100% of GCSE Level Biologists gained 9-4 out of which over 77% gained 9-8. In GCSE Chemistry 100% of students gained 9-4, out of which over 82% gained 9-8. In GCSE Physics 100% gained 9-4, out of which over 90% gained 9-8. 85% of A Level Biologists gained A*/B out of which 54% gained A*/A this gave the department a 1 in ALPS. In A Level Chemistry 85% of students gained A*/B, out of which 52% gained A*/A. In A Level Physics 84% gained A*/B, out of which 61% gained A*/A. The department has 11 purpose-built laboratory spaces, and phase 1 of a two-part upgrade to the facilities has just been completed.
