Job Description
Execute the IT implementation and technology integration development from the business systems and applications perspective based on APMT/MAERSK standard solutions as well as comply with terminal specific processes and interfaces/applications. Ensure adherence of best practices regarding IT solutions, incl. recommendations for usage from other APM Terminals/Regions. Execution of IT services & projects within the Business Systems & Application area ensuring fulfilment of SLA established with the other functions. Contribute to cost efficiencies by identifying saving opportunities or by manifesting cost conscious approach.
Job Description:
- Support and maintain the business applications within the specified terminal domain
- Execute upgrades, software enhancements and changes to the business applications in scope, in line with global standard change management practices, IT service management processes and without service interruption
- Provide input and keep track of the business application lifecycle, keeping it up to date and execute on agreed release managements
- Ensure integrity on interfaces between equipment control systems and other relevant systems in order to meet automation design and concepts
- Resolve incidents and provide root cause analysis in line with standard incident management processes and within agreed service levels on a 24×7 basis
- Follow-up with relevant stakeholders and suppliers for defect management.
- Support the Quality Assurance test activities for all applications under the scope of work.
- Apply the governance processes to all in-house developed applications, including design, build, test and deployment.
- Write and maintain all the SOP & WI up to date within the defined scope.
- Drive agile thinking and ways of working to maximize collaboration and value creation.
Qualification:
- Requires at least at least 4 – 5 years (larger/automated/more complex terminal) of technical application administration or functional administration experience, in a medium to large organization.
- Must have at least two years of or project handling/coordination experience – Experience of working in a highly responsive support organization.
- High Education diploma, Bachelor of Science (BSc), Computer Science, Computer Application, business or similar.
Skills :
- Have a basic understanding of Virtual solution, Server Virtualization and Desktop Virtualization, Cloud computing.
- Requires thorough knowledge on Commercial, Finance, Engineering and Business Intelligence applications.
- Requires basic DBA skills (SQL, ORACLE) including querying the database, creating / modifying tables, views, familiar with backup/recovery techniques.
- Requires demonstrated ability and knowledge to troubleshoot a wide variety of business applications and database related issues as they arise in the workplace.
- Knowledge of system operations and system functions within the area of Finance, OPS, TECH;
- Must be multi-task oriented with proven ability to manage several activities simultaneously;
- Must have good analytical skills to be able to relate and analyze the business requirements and configure the applications to meet the business needs.
- Strong client service skills and an ability to develop a strong client service organization;
- Ability to lead sub-projects for applications like GOS, ERP and integration with other systems;
- Ability to assess business issues, identify risks and to interpret them into technology solutions/requirements.
- Understanding of project management, change management, and escalation processes.
- Proven demonstrated ability to be a team player as well is able to work independently within the defined project, maintaining good relationship to customer, staff and other project team members.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain technical and process documentation for both project implementation phase and post implementation operations.
Languages Known:
Speak/Write/Understand English on working and communication level is a must.
