System Engineer | Enterprise IT | Cairo, Egypt

Overview of the Role:

Systems Engineer is responsible for first level support for users, core Infrastructure and Production Systems monitor, maintain IT software and hardware, troubleshoot IT issues, and install new hardware, software and the implementation, deployment of Computer systems and IT projects.

 

What Will You Do

 

Operational Support

  • Proactively ensure system performance are within defined performance matrix and highly available
  • Systems are to be secured with latest updates and patches as per the Patch Management Policy
  • Execute proactive measures to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Installation and Provision of Infrastructure Systems, computers, POS Machines, hardware and software.
  • Monitor critical systems health and capacity, escalate to relevant team for necessary action
  • Provide Technical support for end users
  • Troubleshoot network issues

 

Incident & Service Request Management

  • Resolve assigned Incidents and Service requests to be resolved within agreed SLA’s
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve reported cases
  • Assist cross functional team for speedy resolution of Incidents

 

Continuous Improvement Initiative

  • Identify systems which are nearing end of life and refresh in phased manner
  • Assist Sr. Systems Engineers in continuous improvement initiatives

 

Other Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & maintain documentation of system architecture and configurations
  • Provide technical support for different IT projects

Skills

Required skills to be successful:

  • 5 years of experience in supporting core IT infrastructure, computer systems, POS machines in a large organization both hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Strong experience in Microsoft environment.
  • Should have good experience in SAP IS-Auto Dealer Business Management
  • Familiar with configuring Service Order, Service Maintenance Contract, Warranty, MRSS, CATS and NWBC process.
  • Well versed with SAP DBM integration with SAP MM and SAP FICO
  • Experience in integration with third party application

  • A degree or Diploma in Computers, Telecommunication or related discipline.
  • MCSE certified
  • ITIL Certified
  • Expertise in Implementing and providing Technical support to core IT Infrastructure of a large organization.
  • Strong analytics skills
  • Ready to support in different locations/ Branches
  • Ready to provide support when required outside the working hours
