Job Description

Position: Sustainability Manager

Sector: NEOM Air Mobility

Job Location: Sharma, NEOM

Role Purpose:

Lead sustainability and work with department heads to embed commercial sustainability projects, procedures, policies, and methodologies across all NEOM Airport departments and identify and apply opportunities to support NEOM Airport’s sustainability goals.

Key Accountabilities & Activities:

  • Identify, develop, strategize, and drive transformative sustainability initiatives and champion the role of innovation with NEOM Airport by aligning overall business strategy and innovative thinking
  • Work with various industries, especially in the aerospace and energy sectors, to identify new opportunities for aircraft and airport infrastructure that are relevant to the growing economy of NEOM
  • Investigate, develop, and implement NEOM Airport’s sustainable commercial policies, goals, objectives, and procedures to increase revenue and reduce costs
  • Define and implement approaches, methods, products, and processes to enhance competitiveness in sustainability and ensure NEOM Airport’s position as a sustainable airport
  • Identify sustainability initiatives with the aim to advance NEOM’s sustainability metrics and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Research, recommend and apply for relevant funding and/or commercial investment that will support delivery of NEOM Airport sustainability objectives
  • Develop clear vision for NEOM Airport’s sustainability commercial activities and ensure delivery across the airport and all department levels
  • Manage internal polices associated with innovation project to ensure support across all levels of the organisation
  • Represent NEOM Airport in sustainability relevant boards, committees, and conferences
  • Liaise with other sustainability representatives across NEOM

Background, Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in sustainability management, within the aviation field is a plus
  • Industry experience with environmental management is desired
  • Knowledge of latest sustainability practices across multiple industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, environmental studies, or related field
  • Master’s in environmental sustainability is a plus
  • English fluency required; Arabic is a plus
