Job Summary
To ensure all sustainability aspects and targets identified for the specific project related
to all Works across the project are identified, implement and monitored to deliver
project in accordance with the contract documents, relevant international standards
and local authorities’ requirements, provide technical support; provide advice on
sustainability matters in built environment to all site supervision team; provide
sustainable solutions and perform specialised sustainability audits / inspections,
submittal reviews and training of the discipline staff.

Primary Responsibility
Confirm the achievement of the sustainability design aspirations of the project at the construction phase, handover and close out stages, including the targeted green rating system requirements, ensure environmental site impacts are minimised and support Win Work team in new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Confirm achievement of sustainability specification, standards and guidelines.
- Review necessary design drawings, materials requirement and contractual sustainability documents of the project.
- Support Win work team in responding to RFPs for sustainability part and conduct presentations with other team members showing our sustainability capabilities for new clients.
- Support Win Work team in getting new opportunities
- Liaise with and review green rating system submission with authorities and prepare all required documentation.
- Provide oversight to the Contractor’s CEMP and together with undertaking site audits, reporting non-compliance incidents (NCI).
- Assist in responding to construction phase RFI and design clarification
- Prepare the necessary documentation required to maintain the sustainability KPIs.
- Review all the materials/ shop drawings submitted by the contractor to confirm
compliance with sustainability specifications and KPIs - Review Sustainability plans, procedures, method statements and relevant
documentation submitted by contractor. - Evaluate sustainability documentation submitted by contractor in conjunction with
discipline engineers. - Adhere to QA/QC system implemented on site and ensure the compliance with Quality
manual. - Conduct Sustainability inspection and audit on contractors, subcontractors and
suppliers.Report sustainability and environmental performance to clients and regulatory bodies. - Ensure the contractor performing sustainability inspections, sampling and testing of
materials in accordance with the specified standards, guideline and requirements as
required by the project. - Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project, organize/witness
field and laboratory Tests, conducted by third parties on construction materials to
ascertain their compliance with the specification (as required). - Review and comment on subcontractor’s pre qualifications.
- Review and comment on sustainability submittals, including LCA results, method
statements, materials specification and alternate proposals submitted by contractors.
Conduct and co-ordinate dedicated site sustainability meetings in conjunction with RE
and prepare MOM. - Review Contractor’s weekly and Monthly reports.
- Conduct regular Site visit and evaluation of sub contractor’s works.
- Raise non-conformance notices (NCNs)/reports; site inspection notices (SINs) identify
deficiencies in conjunction with the RE. - Liaise with the client, authoritative or certification body on sustainability matters as
required. - Liaise with the contractor’s Sustainability Manager/Engineer for day to day
sustainability issues - Review the corrective actions proposed by the contractor, respond/follow ups and close
out procedure. - Review and respond to the preventive actions proposed by the contractor.
- Preparation of Monthly reports in coordination with all disciplines.
- Conduct training of other discipline staff
1. Project / Area Manager Interface
- Maintaining the project compliances with relevant statutory, regulatory requirements,
international standard and guideline (LEED, ESTIDAMA PQP, GSAS, CEEQUAL etc
as applicable) and corporate procedures. - Assist/support the site team for the effective implementation of sustainability practices
on sited - Assist RE in the preparation of check list for As-built drawings.
- Assist the site team during the Audits and ensure that Environmental and quality
management systems are implemented effectively. - Review and compile sustainability documents at handing-over for submission to the
Client. - Assist the RE in compilation of sustainability documents for the issuance of the Taking Over Certificate.
2. Client Interface
- Provide necessary technical reports/recommendation as required by the Client for any project specific issues.
- Attend meetings with Client (as required).
- Liaise with the Client for the necessary approval of samples.
- Liaise with the Client for the necessary close out of sustainability and environmental
Non-Conformance Notices.
3. Contractor Interface
- Regularly coordinate and conduct sustainability meeting with Contractors.
- Notify the contractor for the failure in implementing effective sustainability plan and
- procedures.
- Notify the contractor on time to time site observations and deficiencies.
- Raise Non-conformance notices and review corrective actions.
- Notify reoccurring non-conformances and implement preventive actions.
- Notify the contractor for the delay in submission of Test report/results.
4. Design Office Interface
- Identify, raise and follow-up design office support requests
