<p><strong><u>Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that the best possible price, delivery and quality are obtained for the company through effective purchasing.</li><li>Ensure POs are placed in a timely manner to achieve the required deadlines.</li><li>Obtain quotes from different suppliers and determine the most appropriate suppliers to purchase from, seeking to negotiate discounts where possible.</li><li>Determine the most cost effective quantities to purchase items in, purchasing in bulk where appropriate in order to secure any relevant volume discounts and avoid excessive shipping charges.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality and on-time delivery and liaise with supplier to address any issues noted.</li><li>Develop relationships with key suppliers.</li><li>Liaise with staff responsible for production and materials control, to ensure they are aware of upcoming goods deliveries.</li><li>Liaise with Department managers regularly to understand and help them meet customer needs.</li><li>Explore and develop the purchasing functionality in Rentalman and ensure it is being used to maximum effect (e.g. implementation of PO clauses etc)</li><li>Obtain quotes and select relevant transportation options (air/sea/road) as appropriate.</li><li>Prepare a compliant import and export documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments.</li><li>Maintain accurate records on all imports and exports</li><li>Undertake other related duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications &amp; Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Minimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement &amp; logistics.</strong></li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or relevant field is preferred.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.</li><li>Knowledge and experience of local regulations related to Supply Chain.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>About Total Safety:</p><p>Total Safety is the world’s premier provider of integrated safety and compliance services and the products necessary to support them, including gas detection, respiratory protection, safety training, fire protection, compliance and inspection, comprehensive flare services, industrial hygiene, onsite emergency medical treatment/paramedics, communications systems, engineered systems design, and materials management.</p><p>Total Safety operates from 176 locations in 20 countries to ensure the safe Wellbeing of Workers Worldwide (W3).</p><p>Total Safety is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and will not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status or any other protected status.</p><p>If you require special assistance or accommodation while seeking employment with Total Safety, please contact Human Resources at (713) 353-5152.
