<p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Supervises the operation of Neuroscience Research Unit. Ensures that this section achieves and maintains high standards of quality and efficiency in accordance with Hospital and departmental policies.</p><p><strong>Essential Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p><p>1. Develops a comprehensive plan to enhance the utilization of Hospital Outpatient clinics, and introduce evaluation program to assess Neuroscience Research Unit output.</p><p>2. Monitors the outpatient clinics’ appointment sub-system in order to schedule patients as soon as possible and as medically needed, and evaluate outpatient services for appropriateness of care.</p><p>3. Promotes efficiency, optimum productivity and high standards of Neuroscience Research Unit linked to specific measurable key performance indicators.</p><p>4. Measures the overall effectiveness of services in relationship to the objectives for outpatient services.</p><p>5. Organizes and implements quality improvement programs of all departments in coordination with the Quality Management.</p><p>6. Solves identified problems with the quality and appropriateness of outpatient care through the Neuroscience Research Unit Committee.</p><p>7. Applies the guidelines/policies of Neuroscience Research Unit in order to seek integration of the professional care with the clinical activities of the outpatient entities.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Experience Requirements</strong></p><p>8. Reviews and provides relevant operational statistics.</p><p>9. Supervise, leads and promotes clinical, basic and translational research and publication of papers in accordance with the Neuroscience Research Unit – Advisory Council Policy in order to advance knowledge, improve the quality of post graduate education and contribute to the national and international recognition of the Hospital’s.</p><p>10. Coordinates the components and requirements of Neuroscience Research Unit in order to seek of integration of professional care and maintain a harmonious outpatient organization.</p><p>11. Oversees clinic session schedules, number of sessions and type of slots in a manner that achieves cost effective utilization of staff and resources as related to patient demands on outpatient services.</p><p>12. Encourages the development/enhancement of ambulatory care systems; such as registration, eligibility, appointments, waiting times, ancillary services, etc., that are desirable and convenient from the viewpoint of patients.</p><p>13. Participates in physicians’ educational conferences and work with other professional staff and patient health education staff in order to develop patient education programs.</p><p>14. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.</p><p>15. Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.</p><p>16. Performs other related duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><p>Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience or other related discipline is required.</p><p><strong>Experience Required</strong></p><p>Four (4) years of experience with Master’s , or six (6) years of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree is required. </p><p><strong>Education Requirements</strong></p><p>Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.</p>
