Job Description
<ul><li>The position holds a major role in releasing of accurate and timely data and records to different Shareholders that are reviewed by these organisations in accordance with an agreed communication policy.</li><li>The activity is highly sensitive and is performed in a timely manner that ensures only the correct data is released to the correct shareholder.</li><li>Major challenge is coordinating the reception and delivery of correct and accurate data and records to the right shareholder, whilst also managing and matching the actual requests against the correct data received from the vendor.</li><li>Key Job Accountabilities – I</li><li>8 years of Data Management experience with 2 years broad based petroleum industry experience, including technical knowledge gained while working in a multi-cultural environment associated with the oil and gas industry.</li><li>Improvise and complete Subsurface group day-to-day data management requests related to data assessment, loading, validation and quality control of various corporate databases and transfer and export data to different shareholders in the required format.</li><li>Good understanding of all subsurface datatypes and knowledge in industry standard subsurface data model (PPDM) & applications is an added advantage.</li><li>Good working knowledge of database management systems, especially Oracle & SQL Server Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). Hands-on experience with cross operating systems will be an added advantage. </li><li>Maintain and assure compliance to defined Subsurface Petro Technical Computing Environment data and workflows, exception handling and coordinate any Management of Change (MOC) requirements that may arise.</li><li>Create and lead data loading and validation workflows of subsurface datatypes into corporate databases including Multi-Disciplinary Database (MDDB) and Corporate Well Log Database (CWLDB) from a variety of media.</li><li>Develop and maintain data catalogues, data taxonomies, data inventories and comprehensive audit trails for all input data.</li><li>Assist to integrate new geological/geophysical, petrophysical and well surveillance data into various subsurface databases and assure accuracy and completeness of subsurface databases. </li><li>Design and develop commonly used data management procedures related to data loading (e.g. data work flows and quality indicators).</li><li>Assist the Subsurface users in transferring and exporting data to different shareholders in the required format and establish necessary controls for new formats.</li><li>Maintain Subsurface physical and electronic asset management (Technical Library) and all detailed hard copy and electronic records of all petroleum, technical documents and well information, rock and fluid property, production, field development and petroleum engineering data.</li><li>Assist Subsurface group and users with the proper planning and budgeting process involved in IT demand planning.</li><li>Design, develop and update commonly used data management procedures related to secure data sharing workflows.</li><li>Coordinate, prepare and participate in periodic data access reviews to ensure data stewardship of subsurface data applications and Petro Technical Computing Environment.</li></ul><p><br></p>With over 90 years’ combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world’s leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
