Job Description
HEDES looking for an organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join the Stores Team. Storekeepers is playing a key role in the proper care and maintenance of stock, including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory, they must be able to multitask and perform under pressure while remaining professional with customers. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment.
Job Description
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and supplies.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular physical inventory checks.
- Collect, process, and document all merchandise received and paid for, assisting with inventory activities as necessary.
- Maintain stock levels by checking stock on hand against sales reports.
- Perform stock-related duties like returning, packing, labeling, and pricing goods.
- Report damaged inventories for record-keeping and reimbursement.
- Cross-verify the monthly report at the end of each month.
- Communicates store targets to the team and drives sales to achieve financial objectives.
- Maintains proper loss prevention standards and ensures compliance with cash handling, fraud, and theft of products.
- Keeping a record of sales and restocking the store accordingly.
- Managing and training store staff.
- Ensuring that the store is kept clean and organized.
- Carry out stock checks periodically to minimize/nullify any stock loss/variation.
- Prepare all relevant documents for delivery or shop outs.
- Inspect the goods and material on arrival compare the item with the order to find out any shortage or damage and report to authorities to take immediate corrective action if any i.e. lodge claim with, insurance or the supplier.
- Count and tag every item and organize storage in a safe and secure manner so as to avoid any possibility of damage or loss due to improper handling and storage. Also, ensure that the material is easily identified and retrieved as and when required.
- Arrange for picking and packing of stock based on the pick lists, and coordinate between the warehouse assistants and drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Able to inform management regarding the stock record.
- Able to report any damage and or condition of the materials.
- Ensure a high standard of safety regarding the stored item to prevent fire hazards or any other accident.
- Assist in store room inventory stock-taking whenever conducted
- Make necessary arrangements for proper storage (including barcoding) and labeling of newly arrived products
- Prepare health supplies for immediate dispatch via shipments by re-packaging, labeling, measuring, and weighing consignments and preparing a draft Packing List.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of store/warehouse managing experience.
- Bachelor’s (Required)
- Expertise in store managing systems.
- Expertise to manage both the office and the sales floor.
- Expertise in leading sales and ensuring store operations run smoothly.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workloads in a successful manner.
