About the job Store Manager

Our client is a specialist with elegant bouquets and captivating floral displays to retail stores, corporate floral arrangements and spectacular floral displays for weddings and other events.

They are a full-scale floral design company that offers a variety of long-life roses and fresh orchids in a signature box available for delivery.

The Store Manager will be in charge of the DIFC branch and be responsible for overseeing the performance of the whole team. Fluency in English and Russian is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Plan and implement weekly schedules, taking into consideration store operations and the required coverage
  • Manage the store team and ensure that shifts and leave plans are appropriately planned to secure optimum coverage
  • Check personal presentation of the team and ensure that all employees in the store respect company policy, uniform, and personal appearance policy (makeup, personal hygiene, etc.)
  • Conduct impactful briefing sessions to the retail team (example: sales update and targets, policies, HR updates, etc.)
  • Manage and allocate duties to employees within the store
  • Ensure store expectations and priorities are communicated to the team
  • Conduct regular and relevant in-store training, ensuring a major focus on customer service, product knowledge and selling skills
  • Motivate store team by equipping them with the required information to meet and exceed sales targets

Sales and Commercial

  • Actively seek ways to achieve or exceed the stores sales targets, engage with the team, and drive performance
  • Monitor sales performance against previous years (monthly, weekly, and daily) and provide feedback to the team and support other departments with feedback and ideas needed for development of the business
  • Ensure 100% implementation of the Retail SOPs
  • Support with the creation and change of in-store and window displays, designs, and look to enhance the stores image

Customer Focus

  • As much as possible, support with creating arrangements according to client’s requirements and in respect of the companys design standards
  • Support with the selection of flowers and foliage for floral arrangements, working with the team of florists to develop new creations
  • Ensure that customers are always attended to and deliver excellent service standards at all times through proper execution of the companys policies related to customer service i.e. exchanges and refunds, quality, taking orders, phone and email etiquette etc.
  • Provide feedback to Management on market trends and customer preferences; ensure that comparative competitors analysis is shared periodically.

Inventory and Stock Control

  • Monitor the store inventory and report to the head management on the shortage of inventory and wastage.
  • Set procedures to enable the placement of orders to purchase flowers and supplies from distributors
  • Monitor and manage fresh flowers wastage and ensure that its kept at a minimum, by continuously reviewing sales patterns, customer preferences, accounting for peak times, and ordering fresh flowers accordingly
  • Ensure accurate stock merchandise and management (stock ageing, stock loss, space management) within the store
  • Oversee cash transaction entry and management: petty cash, POS cash transactions, cash floats and ensure that cash is deposited promptly once the cash limit is reached
  • Prepare and review store reports on sales, ATVs, and stock ageing (slow moving, fast moving and non-moving products)

Required skills and experience:

  • Good working knowledge of computers
  • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Fluency in English and Russian language
  • Floristry skills are a plus, but not a requirement
