Steel Yard Manager – Central Steel Yard

Job Description

Manage & organize personnel, steel, equipment and materials in yard. Inventory steel material weekly using steel tracking system. Organizing goods inwards with staff and requesting stock through the steel mill in terms of delivery schedules. Keeping the live tracker up to date in terms of work order balances and stock control. Liaising with contractors for facilitating smooth collection of steel for the fabrication yards, ensuring all HSE and material tracking and testing is maintained throughout the process. Responsible for the operational flow in and out of NEOM steel yard. Overseeing workflow and fabrication within contractors’ fabrication yards. Adopting Modern methods of working using a more automated approach.

List of duties to include and not limited to –

• Oversee day to day operations.
• Overseeing and supervising staff.
• Day to day dealings with QA/QC department.
• Day to day dealings with HSE and wellbeing department.
• Organizing shifts to delegate workflow.

• Planning work and setting targets in line with workflow.
• Liasing with contractors to facilitate smooth delivery schedules.
• Liasing with steel mill for delivery schedules and balances of works orders.
• Attending management meetings.
