Job Description
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, repair, and condition monitoring of all rolling mill stand cassettes as well as its accessories.<br><br><strong>Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Ensures compliance to documented ISO-9001 and 14001 &OHSAS 18001 requirements.<br><br>Ensures compliance with safe working practice on the shop floor and executing all industrial safety rules according to company rules so that no damage occurs to man and machines.<br><br>Ensures compliance with all company regulations.<br><br>Follows instructions of Supervisor and carry out work as per his directives.<br><br>Transferring of used stand to the assembly area.<br><br>Disassembles stand on the roll changing device.<br><br>Inspection of overall stand condition especially backlash (chock and shoulder) and record the remaining passes available to the roll.<br><br>Inspection of roll neck and Bearing sleeves, if worn out or damage and take corrective measures. Records must be maintained in this regard.<br><br>Cleans and returns used rolls to designated area and transfers rolls for machining to Machine shop area.<br><br>Cleans and inspects all the different parts of the roll stand, if broken or damaged part had been identified make necessary replacement or repair.<br><br>Inspects lubrication points and hydraulic oil levels and replenish supply as needed.<br><br>Greasing of chock bearings.<br><br>Assembles stand on the roll changing device.<br><br>Aligns entry and delivery guides to pass center.
