Job Description

<p><strong><u>Summary:</u></strong></p><p>Design, specifications and technical project management &amp; Testing of set top box hardware, software and applications in collaboration with hardware, software and applications vendors.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Day to day technical project management and coordination of developments and integrations in order to deliver projects on time.</li><li>Liaise with other departments to capture business requirements, change requests and get their acceptance of the deliveries.</li><li>Write functional and technical specifications to be communicated to external technology vendors.</li><li> Organize project kick offs, critical design reviews with the different technology vendors.</li><li>Well versed on Project Methodologies</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li> Work with the test and quality assurance team to define test cases ensuring conformance with specifications.</li><li>Work with technology vendors in investigating bugs reported by the test and support teams. </li><li> Testing of STB Hardware &amp; Software. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.</li><li>Minimum 7 years’ experience in digital TV at a middleware vendor, set top box manufacturer or a pay TV operator having deployed middleware-based hybrid IP/SAT set top boxes.</li><li>Proficient B1 English Level</li><li>Technical project management.</li><li>Agile and Kanban methodology</li><li>Technology design and Architecture</li><li>Technical writing skills</li><li>Good knowledge of Satellite &amp;IP TV standards and key technologies.</li><li>Expertise with STB software and hardware architectures.</li><li>Expertise with software development life cycle and quality assurance processes.</li><li>Good knowledge with Internet protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP. </li><li>STBs software stability and high-level quality. </li><li>On time delivery of software</li></ul>
