Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide reservoir engineering support with experience in material balance and decline curve analysis for reserves calculation and evaluation.
- Prepare integrated production models to support Year-End Reserves evaluation.
- Review and propose well tests programs for different well types. Improve/propose new data (if required).
- Perform QC of proposals and work done by contractors, related to reservoir engineering.
- Conduct cost estimates for outsourced services, if required. Collaborate with procurement on the same.
- Comply with Company HSE Policies & Procedures.
- Prepare and document well test designs (PLT, BU, interferences, etc.) as per job requirement.
- Propose new well testing program and plan. Coordinate and lead well testing operations to ensure efficient scheduling of work and required supplies of manpower, tools and equipment.
- Perform detailed well test interpretation and build models and analyses for understanding of the reservoir.
- Review and run dynamic reservoir simulation models in a reliable/consistent manner.
- Work with contractors on day-to-day operations and QC reporting.
- Prepare procedures for well testing and any other related procedures, if required.
- Plan and attend field operations for data acquisition, perforations, surface and sampling and other operations related to well testing for exploration, appraisal and development wells.
- Track well testing progress by analyzing daily well & production data.
- Provide related activities timeline.
- Recommend operational changes and report major changes to supervisor. Ensure that the Company’s interests are protected and assist in the definition of methods/procedures for data gathering as per requirements.
- Prepare appraisal work program for a field or a discovery.
- Prepare Field development Plan with all commercial scenarios and production profiles.
- Prepare economic models.
- Provide mentor and steer of young engineers, if required.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering aspects for oil and gas field development.
- Experience in proposing Field Development Plans for new and existing fields.
- Knowledge of reservoir management concepts and software.
- Knowledge of reservoir engineering methodologies and approaches (material balance, DCA, etc.
- Previously worked with MBAL, Prosper and GAP software.
- Experience in building economic models for new and existing fields.
- Aware and experience of international engineering standards used.
- Required Generic Competencies in performing duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner plus experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in well testing interpretation and design is mandatory as well as its integration in oil & gas field development.
- Collaborative and knowledge sharing and problem solving skills.
