As much as possible, highlight the result that is expected from each task) </em></strong></p> <p><strong>LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY</strong></p> <p><strong><em>(Full, Partial, Supporting</em></strong></p> <p><strong>Duties:</strong></p> <p><u>Major:</u></p> <ul> <li>A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the civil engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.</li> <li>A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Competent use of civil engineering specific software.</li> <li>Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.</li> <li>Substantial technical land practical experience in civil engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.</li> <li>Good knowledge of principles and practices of structural design and related fields, such as concrete; materials, methods, and equipment used in building construction projects; contract administration; competitive bidding process; negotiating techniques; public contracts code; principles of project management and critical path method scheduling; planning principles and related issues, such as environmental law, zoning, development, traffic and other legal considerations.</li> <li>Make recommendations to the Project Manager regarding the selection and approval of sub- contractors in coordination with and through consultations with owner/client representatives</li> <li>Notify the Project Manager/ Construction Manager of any discrepancies identified against contract documents in order for corrective action to be taken</li> <li>Manage and supervise all related activities of the staff of civils and technical </li> <li>Participate in preparing progress reports and in verifying costs related matters in order to finalize monthly payment certificates</li> <li>Ensure that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected as per manufacturer’s recommendations in order to avoid damage of materials</li> <li>Assist in preparation of all communication letters, scope of works, in-house estimates and specifications.</li> <li>Contribute to managing the health and safety of all on-site personnel; report any observed safety violations to the reporting manager and/or Safety Engineer/Officer</li> <li>Assist in the training of new joiners</li> <li>Other duties as assigned by project manager according to the nature to the job</li> <li>Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (e.g. requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc.); make recommendations to the reporting manager as appropriate</li> <li>Manage the quality control as per the approved programs.</li> <li>Establishes, reviews and schedules work priorities for assigned staff.</li> <li>Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and parties.</li> <li>Reviewing of all As Built Drawings by the contractor.</li> <li>Highlights any violations to Architect related issues on site.</li> <li>Review related construction materials, technical data and material and samples submitted by contractors; ensure compliance against technical specifications.</li> <li>In addition to the above as per company instructions/directions</li> <li>Answers all Project’s questions in regard of schedules, work products and any delay which may affect the project budget and schedule.</li> <li>Advises Subcontractors on the interpretation of plans, recommends changes when necessary.</li> <li>Reviewing structural drawing documents, including specification, bill of quantities for possible conflicts. </li> <li>Coordination with draftsman to ensure the work to be done on time of schedule.</li> <li>Reviews contractor’s shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract</li> </ul> <p><u>Minor: </u></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>FULL</p> <p><strong>KPIs:</strong></p> <p>Meet project timeline, construction plan and deadline for structural discipline.</p> <p> </p>
