<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE: <br><br></strong></p><p>Monitor the merchant base, the reported fraud activity &amp; the Alerts generated by the Risk Shield System and other fraud tools that monitor Merchants Deposits.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Job involves transaction and Merchants deposit activity review, fraud detection reporting and liaison with concerned departments including card schemes and low enforcement.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p><strong>JOB CONTEXT / DIMENSIONS: <br><br></strong></p><p>Daily checking of suspicious / fraud transaction / Reports and Alerts generated by various Fraud Tools Systems based on pre-set parameters &amp; Systems Rules.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Reporting &amp; authenticating of suspicious merchants Deposits to Assistant Manager Risk &amp; Fraud Management &amp; Lead, Fraud &amp; Risk Management Unit.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Review of E-Commerce Agreements from Risk perspective.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Liaison with Financial transactions Unit in Group operations for releasing payments held back for suspicious reasons.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Liaison with Chargebacks Unit in Group operations to handle chargebacks related issues.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p><strong>Job Context <br><br></strong></p><p><strong><u>Specific Accountability<br><br></u></strong></p><p>Close monitoring of various degrees of alerts for merchant transactions with the help of retrieved reports from the Cards Management System &amp; Fraud Tools used for this purpose; i.e. Risk Shield &amp; Cyber Source.<br><br></p><p>Authentication of suspicious transactions with Issuers through sending faxes/e-mails and obtain responses within the time frame. Follow up with Issuers on daily basis for any un-responded authentications requests.<br><br></p><p>Control fraud by applying preventive/ corrective measures and maintaining FTS within the level of card industry standards.<br><br></p><p>Liaison with Local &amp; international Issuing Banks for transaction confirmation and suspected fraud activities of merchants. This includes seeking help and assistance of Cards Schemes in case of inability to reach out Issuing Banks.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Review of E-commerce Website agreements referred by Business from Risk &amp; Card Schemes requirements and arrange for either approving or declining business relationships basis the findings.<br><br></p><p>Update the OLD/ RELEASE Merchant Deposits record to ensure held payments are released post completion of Chargeback cycle in case of no Fraud or Chargeback loss.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Daily review of MasterCard worldwide SAFE acquirer fraudulent transactions data for instant counteractive action, which include and not limited to informing the merchant, Chargebacks unit &amp; business of the elevated fraud noticed &amp; holding of payments when deemed required.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p><p>Review of Visa international Bi-Weekly acquirer merchant activity report for instant counteractive action, which include and not limited to informing the merchant, Chargebacks unit &amp; business of the elevated fraud noticed &amp; holding of payments when deemed required.<br><br></p><p>Coordinating with chargeback section for fraud related cases.<br><br></p><p>Co-ordinate with AM-Acquiring Risk &amp; Fraud &amp; Lead, Risk &amp; Fraud for liaison with security /law enforcement agencies, fraud forums and legal department for fraud, risk and fraud issues.<br><br></p><p>Close liaison with Merchant Operations for communications with merchants on payment withheld and sales slips retrieval.<br><br></p><p>Ensure our merchants are not assesses for any excessive fraud / chargeback compliances.<br><br></p><p>Maintaining MIS database for verification requests initiated with issuing banks.<br><br></p><p><br><br><br><br></p><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><p><strong>JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: <br><br></strong></p><p><br><br></p><p>At least 3+ years’ experience of operational activities in a large Card Business.<br><br></p><p>Good English communication skills. (Spoken &amp; Written).<br><br></p><p>Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.<br><br></p><p>Excellent knowledge of Visa &amp; MasterCard Rules and Regulations.<br><br></p><p>Good analytical skills.<br><br></p><p>Self-correspondence ability.<br><br></p><p>Good Telephone manners.<br><br></p><p>Proficient in PC skills.<br><br></p><p><br><br></p>
