Mission
The Software Feature Owner (SwFO) is the technical expert and responsible for one or more Sw Features. He/she supports the SW REQ/ARCH Lead by working out details and providing a consistent solution. He/she is responsible for the analysis and elaboration of software requirements. For Low Level Stakeholder Requirements, he/she is responsible to communicate with customers. He/she also continuously tracks for areas of improvement, defines measures and ensures implementation in his/her area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Tracking of Software Feature progress/status (Metrics Evaluation as defined in REI, Maturity level, Ticket count. etc.)
- Ensure smooth communication between the project team and customer in regards to the customer end functions
- Align/agree on customer requirements, drives and tracks the continuous development progress, reports the status and finally drives the release process of the customer end function(s).
- Reporting to SW REQ/ARCH Lead [Software Requirements Engineering Activities]
- Perform intermediate baselining required of SwRS under his/her responsibility
- Analysis and acceptance of new or changed Sw requirements
- Allocate and break down system requirements to software requirements
- Develop, describe and maintain software requirements in the [SwRS] according to the SwCCB
- Contribute to the Functions scope inside the Software Release Plan for his/her customer function(s)(CPs..)
- Participate in reviews and acceptance of his/her input documents
- Participate in reviews of his/her output deliverables and resolves open findings
- [Optional] participate and support in reviews of the [SwTestSpec] and resolves open findings
- Perform the technical reviews for SwRS
- Ensure that working environment and tools of his/her team are set up correctly and aligned with the project, ensure tool qualification
- React on SIQ requests and participate in SIQ meetings
Education/Training
B.Sc. in Communication, Mechatronics, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
B. Sc. in Computer science.
Professional Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the related métier in automotive engineering or relevant industries.
Technical Requirements
- Strong Technical background
- Excellent C/C++ coding and debugging skills
- Good knowledge of static and dynamic architecture concepts
- Safety ISO 26262 experience is a plus
- Familiar with CD/CI framework
- Good knowledge in project management (plan, monitoring and control against priorities…)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication/reporting skills
- Understanding of requirements writing methodologies
- Experience in knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE)
- Experience in Safety and Cybersecurity
- Experience in EA and DOORS
- Experience in Process (e.g. SMART, SiPH)
