Job Description
<p>UniTicker is looking for an entry-level Backend Software Engineer. You will be part of a team that owns critical UniTicker components, services, tools, and application development frameworks – working on projects that push the boundaries. You will participate in designing, prototyping, and building solutions to complex problems in the Backend ecosystem.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.</li><li>Explore alternative technologies and solve business requirements.</li><li>Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high-quality standard for all team deliverables.</li><li>Write high-quality distributed system software, using but not limited to Java, Python and PHP.</li><li>Work in an agile, startup-like development environment where you always work on the essential stuff.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in <span>computer science or equivalent</span>.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills.</li><li>Possess an extremely sound understanding of primary areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, object-oriented design, and Databases.</li><li>Can write quality code in an object-oriented language – preferably in Java in a Linux environment.</li><li>Candidate must have good written and oral communication skills, be a fast learner and have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment.</li><li>Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful. Thoroughly thinks through problems to come up with solutions.</li></ul><p><br></p>
