As a global technology provider, AVL’s offerings range from simulation, virtualization and test automation for product development to ADAS/AD and vehicle software.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job description:</strong></p><ul><li>The Software and Functions Validation Engineer analyses requirements, writes validation plans, develops plant models and/or prototype SW for different test/validation platforms (MIL / HIL / SW Rapid Prototyping), executes the validation tests and generates the reports. Activity performed for Control Units applied to ICE and xEV powertrains for both Applicative and lower layers SW (CAN, LIN, physical interfaces, etc).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Main Duties, Operational Tasks, Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Analysis of SW and System Requirements for Controls &amp; Functions of conventional and hybrid Controls Systems</li><li>Update/generate/maintain the validation platform : o HIL : modify the plant model, debug in case of malfunction, install the ECU(s ) in the HIL bench, etc. </li></ul><p> o MIL : modify plant model, assemble ASW for simulation, etc. </p><p> o SW RP : generate new prototype SW by integrating SW modules into an already compiled SW using prototyping tools like dSPACE RTI, ETAS EHOOKS/Intecrio, etc</p><ul><li>Definition and execution of validation tests (non regression, coverage validation, etc)</li><li>Validation report generation </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualification Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge about ASPICE based SW Development Processes</li><li>Knowledge about standards AUTOSAR, MISRA C, ISO26262, etc.</li><li>Knowledge on Powertrain/ICE control systems applied to ICE and xEV vehicles</li><li>Experience in developing with tools, like e.g. Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, dSPACE environment, ETAS EHOOKS/INTECRIO/INCA, CANalyzer, etc.</li><li>Knowledge in C, python, java programming/scripting languages</li><li>Experience in validation tests automation.</li></ul>
