We support major defence and security organisations, law enforcement agencies, and sports clients, supplying them with reliable and safe munitions and services.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br></strong><ul><li> Advising on structures ammunition Service Life Survellance programs contracted to the company according to agreed standard. </li><li> Ensuring the company’s adherence to CCW Protocol (V) on Explosive Remnants of War, 2003 Technical Annext </li><li> Provide structure ammunition Service Life Surveillance (SLS) programs to the UAE Armed Forces for ammunition manufactured by the company. </li><li> Provide structure ammunition SLS programs to the UAE Armed forces for ammunition supplied by the company as 3rd party procurements. </li><li> Provide structure ammunition SLS programs contracted by the 3rd party ammunition design authority for ordnance in service with the UAE Armed Forces. </li><li> Provide structure ammunition SLS programs contracted by the UAE Armed Forces for ammunition that is no no longer supported by the original supplier or agent. </li><li> Provide Ammunition and Explosives Technical manuals for ammunition supplied by the company to facilitate safe handling, safe storage, safe transport, technical inspection, render safe procedures, disposal procedures, baseline SLS data and recommended Surveillance Schedule. </li><li> Act as nodal point of contact for any ammunition defect or accident investigation assigned to the company by the UAE Armed Forces. </li><li> Maintain the strictest confidence on defence sensitive information as a result of SLS program, defect or accident investigation. </li><li> Maintain key Service Life Surveillance data base of contracted ammunition under surveillance. </li><li> Identify ammunition contracted by UAE Armed Forces for SLS </li><li> Prepare and communicate SLS schedule for ammunition under surveillance </li><li> Prepare sample selection plan for ammunition under surveillance </li><li> Coordinate with the UAE Armed Forces the technical inspections at depot and unit level </li><li> Coordinate with the UAE Armed Forces for the transfer of SLS samples to the company </li><li> Organize and schedule the company Laboratory and Ballistic test resources to carry out test and examinations required by the applicable SLS standard for the ammunition contracted to the company </li><li> Maintain the SLS baseline data set of ammunition supplied by the company within the company Configuration System </li><li> Select the most appropriate standard for specific SLS program or activity i.e. UN IATG 7.20, NATO AOP 62, 63 and 64, UK MoD JSP 482 Vol 1; French MUN 2422; MUN 2423 etc. </li><li> Lead Failure Mode Effects and Consequence Analysis (FMECA) for ammunition under surveillance. </li><li> Collect and correlate SLS data from the different laboratories and Ballistic test capabilities to form a comprehensive picture of the ammunitions suitability for service. </li><li> Write reports on test results and inspection results of ammunition under surveillance. </li><li> Write recommendations based on SLS results of ammunition under surveillance. </li><li> Maintain SLS histories in the company Configuration Management system </li><li> Maintain the SLS software application. </li><li> Draft papers on SLS for presentation to UAE Armed Forces on the topic of SLS in order to increase awareness of this very important topic. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience and Education:<br></strong><ul><li> 5 to 10 yearsβ experience in related field. </li><li> University degree in Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering. </li><li> Formal qualifications and training in an explosives/ammunition-related discipline. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Skills:<br></strong><ul><li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. </li><li> Fluent Arabic speaker preferred. </li><li> Extensive military back ground. </li><li> Strong understanding of military explosives/ammunition environment. </li><li> Appreciation of explosives engineering discipline. </li><li> Strong investigative ability. </li><li> Strong coaching and mentoring skills. <br><br></li></ul>#LAHAB
