Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Site HSE Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Responsibilities
- Conversant with the company’s HSSE Policies and commitments for compliance, pollution prevention and continual improvement of HSSE performance.
- Provide support and guidance in the development and implementation of HSE MS and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Provide expert advise on HSE Issues related to the projects day-to-day operations.
- Monitor and report on the Main Contractors HSE performance.
- Support HSE audits and studies as required.
- Advising on incident / accident prevention measures
- Assist the Contractor in developing and implementing HSE improvements
- Participate in the production of the Project Health, Safety and Environmental risk registers.
- Ensure that the results of inspections, audits and actions identified from accident investigations are followed-up to ensure their timely closure.
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum BSc in Engineering or Safety diploma
- Minimum 10 years experience
- Minimum 8 years experience in the oil & gas, refining and petrochemical industries
- Minimum 5 years experience in the designation
