<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE:<br></strong>The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair the Signaling systems. The Signaling Service Technician will assistwith repairing and calibrating systems and replacing various components such as Signals Beacon point machine track circuitscomponents, IXL components and ATC wayside &amp; onboard equipment. As well as diagnosing problems and offer alternativesolutions. You will be responsible for Signaling systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty,and emergency repairs. The ability to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Thegoal is to maintain even indoor and outdoor Signaling System in the best possible condition covering the Depot Workshop inCairo Metro Line 3 (Abbasia Workshop and Salam Workshop) and the stations.<br><br></p><p><br><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:<br></strong>• Be able to perform all type of preventive and corrective maintenance related to Signaling system<br>• Assist the Signaling engineers and supervisors in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenanceactivities in Cairo Metro Line 3 premises including the two Depot Workshops (Abbasia Workshop and Salam Workshop).<br>• Ensure the maintenance tools &amp; equipment are in good condition.<br>• Survey the Signaling systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.<br>• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing Signaling systems, and following any warranty services.<br>• Join and control the stakeholders during the intervention.<br>• Reporting to the management.<br>• Troubleshooting defective Signaling systems and equipment to make diagnoses.<br>• Performing preventative maintenance by cleaning Signals, Point Machines, Track circuits equipment, Cabinet &amp;modules, workstations, and ATC onboard &amp; wayside equipment.<br>• Improving Indoor / Field element quality to optimize efficiency.<br>• Quick Respond in Fixing, replacing, and adjusting all type of Failures.<br>• Ensuring the work area is free of debris and tools properly after performing the Maintenance.<br>• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.<br>• Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.<br>• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Health and Safety Act.<br>• Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed to ensure all environmental and safety rules are respected andalert Executive Maintenance of any environmental and safety issue.<br>• To undertake any other technical duties as assigned.<br>• Respect all RDMC safety rules.<br>• Flexibility to work after hours when required.<br><br></p><p><br><strong>ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE &amp; EXPERIENCE<br>QUALIFICATIONS:<br></strong>• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in Metro or Railways Signaling maintenance, installations / Test &amp;commissioning technology or relevant field will be a plus.<br>• Proven experience as maintenance technician<br>• Basic understanding of electronics, electrical, and other systems<br>• Knowledge of general maintenance processes, Levels, and methods<br>• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices<br><br></p><p><br><strong>KNOWLEDGE:<br></strong>• General technical knowledge<br>• Knowledge in railway and Metro environment<br><br></p><p><br><strong>EXPERIENCE:<br></strong>• Minimum 5-years’ work experience as a qualified electrical or electronics technician.<br>• Experience within the maintenance/T&amp;C or installation of Signaling / ATC equipment is highly preferable.<br><br></p><p><br><strong>DESIRED BEHAVIORS:<br></strong>• English – speaking, reading and Arabic is a must.<br>• Must have good eyesight and normal color vision.<br>• Strong Electrical mind, and ability to grasp the complexity of workings of Signaling and ATC of rolling stock.<br>• Ability to use and calibrate various electrical and electronic test equipment and PC for the maintenance of depot equipment andStations.<br>• Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings asrequired.<br>• Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.<br>• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities;<br><br></p>
