Job Description:

You as a Service Sales Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Sharkia, Egypt. General Field Sales work includes face-to-face and remote selling to both new and existing customers including Selling directly to the end consumer/business purchaser or indirectly through various sales channels. Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions. Developing and delivering sales bids, presentations, and proposals and conducting product demonstrations. Identifying and contacting prospective customers and building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievement of sales targets. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

Your responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and service manager implements service sales strategy.
  • Penetrating IB, promotes various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and Hitachi Energy.  
  • Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepares sales plans, reviews them and proposes recovery plan(s) when needed. Regularly updates installed base in Service (the approved Service database) with the changes made at site. 
  • Focusing on project service sales from order to cash and utilizing Service to understand the existing installed base (IB) and identifying and developing sales opportunities for Service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB/new IBs in the market. Focuses on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned business units and product groups. 
  • Generating service sales leads and develops new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying, and exploring potential new service portfolios. Taking a One Hitachi Energy approach to leverage other colleagues’ portfolios. 
  • Establishing long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM). Registers customer feedback and ensures customer designated area(s). Charts out and monitors sales proposals, tenders and follows up proposal statistics. Preparing Hitachi’s Service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local service sales manager and service Manager.
  • Communicating contract details in accordance with Hitachi offering and strategy. Managing administrative sales processes and marketing Acts as a marketer and salesperson of Hitachi’s service products and 
    solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
  • Translating the needs of customer into relevant Hitachi Service offerings and solutions. 
  • Contributing to risk assessments related to price and quality. Registering required information into the appropriate customer database. Ensuring technical reliability, safety, and cost-effective solutions to satisfy 
    customer’s needs. Complies with health and safety directives.

Your background     

  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 2+years of relevant experience is required in relevant industry.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
